Design-only, new construction.

Owner · Designer · Manhattan, Denver

Nick Young

Nick co-founded MOD with David while still a student at Kansas State University, where he earned his Master's in Architecture — proof that a business plan and a full course load aren't mutually exclusive. He started MOD's Denver office in 2013, which he now co-owns with his wife, Lauren, and enjoys working across every scale of design, from single-family homes to entire subdivisions, with projects spanning Denver, Manhattan, and Montrose, Colorado. He and Lauren work side by side on nearly everything MOD touches — somehow without ever running out of things to talk about.

Sean McBride

Sean rounds out MOD's Denver office, working alongside Nick through every phase of a project — schematic design, design development, and construction documents — on work ranging from single-family homes to large townhome developments. He brings the same steady hand to a set of drawings as he does to, well, an actual locomotive: in his free time, Sean trades his T-square for a throttle as a train engineer out of Leadville.

Lauren Young

A fellow Kansas State University graduate with a Master's of Architecture, Lauren has never met a design problem she couldn't out-think. She brings a rare range to every project, from early design strategy through interior execution, with a sharp eye for a home's architectural intent and a knack for carrying that design language seamlessly from exterior to interior. Whatever a project calls for — interpretation, design, or execution — Lauren's equipped to see it through. She co-owns MOD's Denver office alongside her husband, Nick, and the two have built a career out of finishing each other's design sentences.

Owner · Architect · Manhattan, Denver, St. Louis

Aaron Schump

Aaron brings a diverse, award-winning portfolio of residential and commercial work to MOD, along with a rigorous, critical eye sharpened by years of teaching architecture at Washington University in St. Louis. He spends most of his time on Denver and Manhattan projects, while also keeping a close watch over MOD's St. Louis office. Aaron is a registered architect in Kansas, Colorado, and Missouri, and NCARB certified.
